• The US dollar has regained some ground in recent weeks, reaching its highest level since mid-2017. A favourable interest rate differential to the rest of the G10 appears the strongest support to the currency at the current juncture.
• Even though we hold a bearish outlook for the US dollar over the medium term, the lack of a near-term catalyst and a high cost of carry suggest that a neutral view is warranted for now.
