BNY Mellon – Webinar – Exploring Opportunities in Secured Finance

29 October 2020 - 16:00 - 17:00

Webinar – Exploring Opportunities in Secured Finance

It is six months since the World Health Organization declared the Covid-19 outbreak a pandemic, sending financial markets into turmoil and triggering unprecedented fiscal and monetary policy responses. Now that liquidity is restored and yields in some markets are below pre-crisis levels, many investors are eyeing secured finance as an alternative to traditional bond holdings for portfolio diversification and yield pick-up at relatively low levels of risk.

In this second edition of our BNY Mellon IM Focus series, we ask a panel of leading experts and top Dutch investors in secured finance about their experiences of the crisis and how they see the market evolving in the months ahead. We invite you to join Koen Ronda from IBS Capital Allies, Markus Schaen from MN, Marthe Tuinstra from PGB, and René van de Merwe from Wealth Management Partners, along with Graham Rainbow from Alcentra and April LaRusse from Insight Investment, to hear their views on how Covid-19 has reshaped the secured finance markets and what the second ‘credit stage’ impact of the crisis on the collateral of various asset backed securities and loan portfolios will be.
